A look into Creativity
My mate Elizabeth Gilbert (we spoke on the phone once and so I claim her as a personal friend) once wrote about vocation:
“Vocation is a private vow. The entire publishing world could vanish, and books could become obsolete, and I would still be a writer — because that’s my vocation. When you embrace a vocation, your mind becomes a quieter place. When you accept the divine invitation of your vocation, you will become strong.”
Writing has long been my vocation; something I’ve always used to make sense of the world around me, and something I believe in more than ever for 2026 and beyond.
Despite the robots getting involved, I’m a firm believer in the humanness of the true written word. And I’m here to continue crafting a decent written word, whether it’s through one of my articles, my Substack, my novels, my Instagram posts, the list goes on…
